Dr. Tshilidzi Marwala is the Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Johannesburg. Marwala was appointed Deputy Chair of South Africa’s Presidential Commission on the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), which assists the government in taking advantage of the opportunities presented by the digital industrial revolution. Marwala is also Trustee of the Nelson Mandela Foundation and Independent Non-Executive Director of Nedbank. Previously, Marwala was Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment at the University of Johannesburg.
